Trying to get these out every night. I had to travel for work towards the end of last week, but still threw a few out via Twitter. BOL if you tail. Eat a bag of balls if you fade….
NCAAB
1.) Baylor ML (-130)
This should be a nail biter. 9th ranked team in the nation visiting the 14th ranked squad in a big time conference battle, but Baylor is just a better team. They’ve won 8 of 10, boast the 9th best BPI in the country and the 4th best SOS. I think they have an all around better team. On a neutral court, I’d guess this would be a 6 point spread. That being said, home teams in conference play have been covering at a surprisingly high number, so be cautious. I just really like Baylor here.
2.) Pitt team total over 74.5 (-110)
Pitt has eclipsed this number in 3 of 4, and against MUCH better teams than Georgia Tech. The only thing that concerns me here is if they have the game in hand late, and shrink the clock. I think we can get to 40-43 by half time, and that puts us in a great spot for the game.
3.) Akron vs Toledo over 147.5 (-110)
This should be a great game between two teams or like to push the rock, 73 and 84 ppg respectively. Akron has seen this number go over in 4 of 5, and Toledo in 3 of 5. I think this will be a close game, and we will see both teams continuing their fast pace throughout the entire game.
4.) ECU ML (-130)
I don’t have the balls to give any points away with East Carolina. They are not a good team, but Tulsa is a really bad team. Last time these teams met ECU walked away with a double digit victory. They did that on the back of their defense and rebounding. They grabbed almost twice as much REBs as Tulsa, and cleaned up on the offensive side. For how bad ECU has been at times, they normal succeed cleaning up the glass. If they do this, and shoot their FT’s, I think this is an easy win tonight.
5.) Mississippi St vs Missouri under 139 (-110)
Miss State have been the under darlings this year. They play great defense and a slower paced offense. They have gone under in 4 of 5 games, and the last time these two teams met we saw a whopping 115 pts scored. Now this is in Missouri, and they have been great at home offensively, but they have also been great defensively. Could Missou push this over, sure, but I think we could see something like 65 – 53.
I have two more leans for the night, that I am really on the fence with so I don’t want to add them to my card. Xavier ML over Nova, and Youngstown State over Robert Morris. I’m torn, I’m torn, I’m torn…..
NHL
1.) VGK team total over 3.5 (-140)
Vegas is great on the road this year, 17-5-4, and they’ve scored 4 plus in 4 of 5. Chicago on the other hand, have given up 4+ in 3 of 4, and 5 of their last 6 losses. I think VGK gets the win, and put 4 or 5 in the net.
2.) Dougie Hamilton over 3.5 SOG (-137)
I love this spot for Dougie. He’s posted at least 3 SOG in 7 straight home games, and the Devils see the Canadiens come to Jersey tonight. Those same Canadiens who have lost 10 of 11 on the road, and have been getting torched defensively in those recent road games. New Jersey should have little problems getting pucks on the net, and Doug should join in on the fun.
